JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the full scope of human resources functions at A-TEC Ambulance, Inc., including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, maintaining employee records & benefits administration. This role ensures workforce readiness and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced EMS environment while promoting a positive and professional workplace culture for current and future employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years of HR experience (required).
- Experience in healthcare, EMS, or public safety environment strongly (preferred).
- Experience with multi-site or shift-based workforce (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Blend of Office based & Recruiting events with frequent interaction in operational/field.
- Exposure to moderate noise and fast-paced work conditions.
- Occasional travel between locations and recruitment events.
